MOVE

Let’s go!!!

You don’t need another sign or another plan. You need one intentional move in the right direction. Today is about closing the gap between knowing and doing.

If you’re still playing around with the idea of taking this journey for yourself—enough. JUMP.
You are worthy of investing in yourself. You are also the only one who can do the work to create the life you imagine. Sitting around wishing for it isn’t going to move you forward or elevate you.

Just start. I promise you—you will be so glad you did.

I’ve fought food and sugar addiction for years. Years.
And guess what? Investing in myself is finally paying off.

Last night, Dawn and I went to Maryville to run to Walmart and grab dinner. Normally, my go-to drink when eating out is Sprite. I can’t even remember the last time I ordered one. I ordered iced tea—and that’s all I order now.

I ate all of my food. I ordered a sandwich and a salad, and we split a regular order of breadsticks from Pizza Hut. The key point? I wasn’t uncomfortably full. I was comfortable. Should I have left a little for mind repair? Probably. I didn’t this time—but I still count it as a win.

Then came Walmart. I was looking for a Tootsie Roll. All I could find were big bags. I skipped it, because I know myself—I would’ve eaten the whole thing. I also skipped grabbing a substitute, which is something I always used to do to calm that after-dinner sweet craving.

Then came the real win…

Dawn wanted to stop at Dairy Queen for ice cream. I didn’t order anything. I skipped it.

Before we left Walmart, I literally scolded myself:
“If you want something sweet to end the meal, grab organic strawberries and eat them on the way home. Eat the whole package if you want—but no ice cream. Change how you behave, JaSi, if you want to see progress.”

And because the Universe loves me, Michelle called and kept me distracted from “just checking” to see if they had apple pie or turnovers. Divine intervention—thank you very much.

So yes, there were challenges. Old habits tried to rush in and save me from myself. And I beat them. I held strong. I won.

Every win builds strength for the next temptation.

So get up. Stop with the excuses about why now isn’t the right time—and make it the right time. This is your life you’re teeter-tottering with.

INVEST IN IT.

Journaling Prompts:

Where in my life am I calling it “stuck” when I’m really just hesitating—and what am I afraid will happen if I move?

What is one small but intentional action I can take today that closes the gap between what I know and what I’m actually doing?

What recent win—no matter how small—proves that investing in myself is already working, and how can I build on it next time?
