Feeling Like Me Again
It is pretty crazy how life moves.
I spent the whole weekend creating.
Creating is something I have been struggling to get back to ever since we had to move the shop. Somewhere along the way, I lost that spark. This weekend, I found it again.
I had forgotten how much I enjoy spending an entire weekend in the shop, just making things with my own two hands. Somewhere in the middle of pouring candles, I realized something...
This is the first time I have made candles in a very, very, very long time.
And once I started, I couldn't stop.
The very first thing I did this morning was plug in the wax pot.
I am excited about candles again.
I also got a lot of other things done. The shelves are starting to fill back up, the shop is beginning to feel like home again, and for the first time in a long time, it feels like everything is moving in the right direction.
My soul took a deep breath this weekend.
My mind finally got some rest.
My body, however, is still reminding me that it deserves some attention too. I did sleep really well though, and that's a step in the right direction.
So today's goals are simple:
• No sweets.
• Back off the carbs and let protein lead.
• Get some intentional movement.
• Make candles...
I'm hoping that now that I'm creating again, my mind will settle down enough that I can put that same energy back into taking care of my health.
But regardless...
I feel like Me again.
I'm excited again.
And I'm moving in the right direction.
Sometimes healing doesn't begin with a perfect meal plan or a workout routine. Sometimes it begins the moment you reconnect with the part of yourself that made you feel alive before life got so heavy.
If you've been feeling stuck, maybe don't ask yourself what you should be doing.
Ask yourself...
What made me lose track of time because I loved it so much?
Sometimes that's where we find ourselves again.
