Healing honors

It is truly incredible to witness a vision unfolding in real time. 365 Days of Me is becoming exactly what I hoped it would be — a space that reaches people who are trying to heal and gently encourages them to step into themselves and begin the journey within.

I don’t even have words for what it feels like to be told you’re making a difference in someone’s life. It stopped me in my tracks. I almost cried. To hear someone say their life is changing because of a path I opened — that kind of trust humbles me deeply. I feel honored beyond words that she invited me into her journey.

Moments like this reignite something in me. They push me forward on my own path. I’ll be honest — there were times I wondered if the purpose of this page was unseen or misunderstood. But something kept nudging me forward. Keep going. Keep sharing. Don’t give up.

What I’m realizing now is this: healing is sacred, and being trusted with it is not something to take lightly. People are here. They’re watching quietly. They’re opening themselves up to their own healing in their own time. They’re taking the first steps. And when they’re ready, they’ll begin to share, to participate, to invest in themselves more deeply. They’ll start to feel empowered. That’s what 365 Days of Me has always been about.

I created this Facebook group because years ago — after my husband died and I experienced a painful falling out with my mom and my twins — I hit rock bottom. I was desperate to climb my way out, and I knew something important: no one could do it for me. I had to choose myself.

So I made a decision. I committed 365 days to myself. I was going to be selfish on purpose. I was going to give myself all the care, energy, and attention I had always given to everyone else. It was my turn.

I started on my birthday and spent the next year nourishing my mind, body, and soul — slowly climbing out of rock bottom. For the first time in a long time, I became important to myself.

Just a few weeks ago, I found myself at another low point. My health feels fragile. My generation is losing people far too young — mid-50s, early 60s — and at 52, that reality hit hard. With a new year approaching, I knew it was time to begin another 365 Days of Me journey. This time, the idea came to share it openly — to invite others into self-care, self-focus, and healing alongside me.

I am deeply honored that people are choosing to walk with me and showing up for themselves.

What I’m learning is that healing spreads quietly. One person changing can impact families, relationships, even generations. A woman I spoke with last night said something that moved me deeply:
“I have to heal. I have to get me back — for myself and my kids. We are all we have.”

She recognizes that her trauma affects her children — and that her healing will, too. That awareness alone is powerful. There are so many lessons in this journey, even for those who are simply watching from the sidelines.

I have immense gratitude for her trust, for her sharing a piece of her story with me, and for telling me how much this group has helped her. It has strengthened my commitment to keep going, to keep showing up. This is what Mind Body Soul was always meant to be — and I love watching it grow into something so meaningful.

I also want to acknowledge those of you who are following quietly. Choosing yourself. Doing the work without needing to announce it. I see you, too.

If there is ever anything I can do to support you, please reach out. I am not a healer — but I am a friend who genuinely cares. You never have to share publicly if you’re uncomfortable. I’m always available behind the scenes through Messenger or a phone call.

I still struggle on my own path. And inviting others into this journey has been one of the best decisions I’ve made for myself. Watching this community grow keeps me accountable and committed. People are watching — and that reminds me I can’t quit. Your support helps me keep choosing myself, just as I hope this space helps you choose yourself too.

We are in this together.

Healing doesn’t require perfection — only presence. And you don’t have to do it alone. 365 Days of Me isn’t about changing who you are; it’s about remembering yourself and your importance. I am deeply honored to walk alongside anyone brave enough to do that work.
