Rest Days
Today isn’t a teaching day.
Today is a listening day.
I had a full plan for what I wanted to write this morning… and my body said no.
I don’t feel great.
I’m tired.
My energy is off.
My head feels heavy.
The old version of me would have pushed through anyway.
Because I had a plan.
Because I “should.”
Because consistency used to mean never stopping.
But that isn’t actually what healing looks like.
Healing isn’t showing up at full speed every day.
Healing is learning when to soften without guilt.
So today I’m not forcing growth.
I’m not forcing productivity.
I’m not forcing wisdom.
Today I’m practicing awareness.
I’m still showing up — just honestly instead of perfectly.
And maybe this is your permission too:
You are allowed to have a day where your job is simply to notice what you need.
Not fix.
Not optimize.
Not improve.
Just notice.
Because sometimes the most aligned thing you can do…
is stop pushing against yourself.
