Having Gratitude

Having Gratitude

Gratitude…

I don’t even really know where to begin with this one. Gratitude is big. Bigger than most people realize. It quietly reshapes everything. It breeds positivity and gently shifts something—not just in your thoughts, but deep within your soul. It grounds you. When you’re truly grateful, you see life and existence through an entirely different lens.

Gratitude feels like a warm hug.
It brings peace.
A calm settling of the soul.
Sometimes contentment.
Always humbling.

I woke up an hour before my alarm this morning and immediately felt grateful—because I really wanted to take a shower. I stayed up late again last night formatting my book for Amazon (which, by the way, is a terribly frustrating learning process lol). But instead of feeling irritated that I could’ve slept another hour, I felt thankful that I woke up rested and ready to start the day.

I lingered in the shower this morning, just enjoying the hot water on my achy body. I made my coffee afterward and took my time getting ready. I knew my blogging time would be interrupted by daycare anyway, so here I am—once again, grateful that I had some quiet time before the day fully began.

Before starting my blog this morning, I checked my 365 Days of Me!!! Facebook page… and HOLY WOW.
45 members.

I know that may not sound like much in the world of social media—but 43 of those people joined because they wanted to. I only invited Dawn and my mom. Everyone else came on their own. That fact alone leaves me overwhelmingly grateful, deeply humbled, and honestly blown away.

I’m grateful that people want to walk alongside me on this journey. Grateful that they’re choosing their own self-love. Grateful to be building a community rooted in something I’m genuinely passionate about.

Then I stepped on the scale this morning—down 3.2 pounds. Without drastic effort. Grateful.
Making different food choices and moving just a little more is making a difference. 3.2 pounds in a week feels motivating and encouraging.

This morning, I’m grateful for so many things—especially the little ones. Because the little things add up.

Overall, gratitude naturally shifts me into a more positive mindset—and that’s the most important part of my journey. I have to consistently show up with intention, choosing positivity, or I can very easily slip back into the negativity I tend to lean toward.

So today, I’m choosing gratitude.

What are you grateful for today?
