Commitment Over Motivation

Staying True to Your Promises

I stayed up too late last night and almost hit the snooze button this morning. But something unexpected happened—my mind took off in a positive direction without any conscious effort at all. How amazing is that?

I shut off the alarm and lay there for a moment. I even considered resetting it and grabbing another 30 minutes of sleep. Then that voice in my head chimed in: “Are you serious, JaSi? Already? It hasn’t even been a week yet. GET UP.”

Naturally, I moaned loudly in defiance, threw the covers back, and dragged myself out of bed.

And then… that same voice praised me.

It reminded me of the commitment I made—and this time, it’s bigger than just me. I have people watching. I have people participating. This isn’t only about showing up for myself anymore; it’s about honoring the commitment I made to everyone I invited to walk this journey with me.

So I’m up. I made my coffee. I checked on the liquid soap I made yesterday (and by the way—it’s looking fabulous lol). And now I’m sitting here, honoring my commitment to myself and to all of you.

Why didn’t I want to get out of bed this morning? Because I stayed up way too late learning AI—and I’m excited about it. I love learning new things, especially things that elevate and motivate me. I’ve been exploring all the little nooks and crannies of AI, stretching beyond my limited thinking, and learning how to guide it to do its thing. It’s honestly incredible what it can do.

But even after a late night, I showed up. And I’m proud of that.

Honoring this commitment—no matter how small it may seem—sets the tone for my entire day. Small accomplishments create momentum. Momentum creates motivation.

So get up and do one thing today that moves your life in a positive direction.

I’ll see y’all here tomorrow morning.
